Whether you’ve had formal swimming lessons or not, Little Fins will have the right level for you. Our progressive teaching system assures that each student will learn to swim confidently. We base each level on the age and experience of each student, and each level has a sample list of skills associated with it. Simply determine which level fits your needs, then visit the online registration section for session dates and times.

Our Classes, by Age Group

Each age group has different levels based on the various skills we teach. Click a group for detailed info.

Age 18 Months to 3 Years (Parent/Child Beginner Classes)

There are three levels in this age group:

Age 3 Years to Pre-K

There are five levels in this age group:

Level 1: Minnow
Skills include:
  • Blow bubbles
  • Safe entry and exit from pool without parent
  • Bob without parent
  • Blow air out under water
  • Wall crawls
  • And more.
Level 2: Goldfish
Skills include:
  • Retrieve object from shallow end
  • Blow air out under water alone
  • Walk across pool in neck-deep water
  • Blow bubbles while humming
  • And more.

Age Kindergarten and Up

There are five levels in this age group:

Level 1
Skills include:
  • Safe entry and exit to pool
  • Blowing and humming bubbles
  • Hold breath and blow out underwater
  • And more.
Level 2
Skills include:
  • Retrieve object from shallow water
  • Independent front glide with kick
  • Independent front and back float
  • And more.
